It’s time for a little bit of fun! Do you know the best thing about creating a list of top 5 silly animal songs? I get to include whatever song I like on it. With so much bad and sad news,  I bet one of these songs will make you grin or whistle or sing out loud!

What songs would be on your Top 5 List? Inquiring minds want to know!!

Let’s get started with the Top 5 Countdown!

# 5: If I Could Talk to the Animals – Doctor Doolittle (musical)

Dr Dolittle 1967 Film Soundtrack "Talk To The Animals"

Corny but fun musical about an animal communicator. Rex Harrison doesn’t actually sing, but the lyrics are funny. “Discussing Eastern art and dramas with intellectual llamas.” And I really enjoyed the Eddie Murphy re-make as well!

#4: Never Smile at a Crocodile – Peter Pan (movie)

Never Smile at a Crocodile [restored version]

Don’t you love that Nana the dog was the children’s’ nanny? As I watch the clip, I’m not sure Captain Hook got away from the crocodile.

#3: I Taut I Taw a Puddy Tat  – Mel Blanc

I grew up with the Loony Toons characters. Do you remember Tweety & Sylvester? I remember Tweety always said, “I Taut I Taw a Puddy Tat,” but didn’t know there was a song! And Sylvester’s favorite saying, Suffering Succotash! (You have to say this with a LOT of spit!)

#2: You Can’t Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd – Roger Miller

Roger Miller - You Can't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd

“But you can be happy if you’ve a mind to…” A very silly song with a sublime reminder that is priceless!

AND NOW FOR  THE SONG WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!

Actually, it’s a tie! I love both of these songs!

#1: The Chipmunk Song – Christmas Don’t be Late – Dave & the Chipmunks

ALVIN!!! I have never tired of hearing and singing this incredibly silly animal song!

And #1 Again: Who Let the Dogs Out – Baha Men

Baha Men - Who Let The Dogs Out (Original version) | Full HD | 1080p

Because it’s the bestest, funniest, run-around-the-house-with-your-pets kind of song!
