Mom was in hospice – how do we tell her dog?

A woman’s daughter contacted me about her Mom being in hospice. I was intrigued how I’d help as an animal communicator. Then it became clearer.

At the time, Mom’s dog (let’s call him “Marty”) was living with her sister’s family. My client asked me if I could communicate with Marty so he knew what was happening with Mom. I was glad to!

Marty had questions – and compassion

When I first connected to Marty about his Mom being in hospice, he had two questions:

1.       Is my mom in pain? I know she’s sick.

2.       What’s going to happen to me?

I was astounded that Marty was concerned about Mom’s pain. He showed a genuine and deep compassion for Mom. Honestly, I had not anticipated that, but I am no longer surprised.

Mom comes through while in hospice

During a session with Marty and the daughter, an unexpected visitor came forward – Mom! (Mom was still on the planet.)

This was a telepathic connection – I’m in Virginia and the family is on the West Coast. When that happened, I was able to facilitate a three-way discussion.

Regarding Mom’s pain, I shared what Mom told me – she was a bit uncomfortable, but was handling it OK. That was a relief to her family.

My heart warmed when we discussed Marty’s next home! During our session, Mom, her daughter and Marty said goodbye and shared their love for each other.

Best of all, Marty confirmed that he wanted to stay with my client’s sister. Happily, the sister wanted Marty to stay as well. Mom had been leery about “burdening” the sister’s family with Marty, but now she could relax.

That’s because both the daughter and Marty felt like it was a blessing to keep him part of the family! Mom was so relieved to hear this.

Do you know anyone who would like to say goodbye to their pet?

I can help!

How I work with people & their beloved companions!
