Check out this video from Joan Ranquet, showing a very easy technique to help calm our animals who freak out with fireworks, ambulances and thunder. Her animal communication school is Communication With All Life University. It is an incredible curriculum if you want to be a professional animal communicator.<
But if you just want to learn to communicate with your own animals or you work with animals in your profession (dog walker, vet tech, pet sitter), check out Train with Maribeth.
I had one of those dogs who freak out with loud noises – Tibor. Thunder scared him, Fourth of July fireworks scared him, ambulances scared him and police cars scared him. In the beginning, life was quite difficult because we live near a nursing home, hospital AND a fire station!
When we adopted Tibor, he came with the name, Thunder. (Cripes, who names a dog after something that terrifies them??)
The Bladder Sweep helped Tibor mellow over time. I talked to him while I was doing it to remind him that he was safe and could still enjoy life in spite of these loud noises. It was time to shake it off because in this new life with us, his purpose was to enjoy our company and enjoy his walks!
Tibor had survived a dog fighting environment. With both my husband and I being retired Navy, we decided to rename him in honor of a decorated veteran who had also survived and thrived many challenges.
After much research, we renamed Tibor after Medal of Honor Awardee Corporal Tibor Rubin, a incredibly wonderful American hero and human being.
Corporal Rubin was a Holocaust survivor in WWII who after the war, immigrated to the U.S from Hungary. Once in America, he joined the U.S. Army, to give back to the country that gave him a chance at a new life.
