Noticing the horses on Washington Street improved my intuition some years ago! Just like I did, improve your intuition by noticing animals you encounter. Although it’s not exactly animal communication, it’s a great practice to improve your intuition!
How do you do it? Ask an animal to show up in an unexpected way to give you a message about what’s going on in your life. Set an intention and pay attention. Then find out the meaning of the animal and open your intuition to understand the meaning for YOU.
Some years ago, I asked for an animal to step into my view in an unusual way. I needed some insight on an issue I was wrestling with. The symbolism of this animal would provide guidance.
Ahead of me I saw a trailer with two horses going north on Washington Street in Alexandria, Virginia. I’d been traveling this street for about 20 years, and it was unexpected. Because it was the first time I saw a horse trailer on this particular road. It was also significant because I own a medallion designed with two horses.
(Note on the picture: This horse and truck are always in Old Town Alexandria, usually on King or Duke Street. But I asked for something unusual and seeing REAL LIVE horses during the Metro District of Columbia rush hour was unusual!)
When I got home, I pulled out Ted Andrews’ book, Animal Speak. In this book, horses symbolize power, journeying and freedom. In this case, rather than being ridden, they were riding in a vehicle. My message was they were moving forward on their journey faster. And so, this was true for me.
The vehicle was going north. In the Lakota (Sioux) tradition, North represents hardships and discomfort, trials people must endure and cleansing they must undergo.
The symbolism of Number 2 is important, too. My intuition told me 2 had to do with relationships. Since North speaks of discomfort, the negative aspect of 2 from numerology is pertinent – being oversensitive, and afraid to speak one’s mind so as to avoid confrontation was a trait that was holding back progress.
I was:
All that from two horses going north in a trailer! And indeed, that year, I decided to retire from my current employment. From there, I begin my life of an animal communicator!
I sense that people who work with me begin to open their intuition just by hanging out in my energy!
Even when they’re focusing on their animal’s issues. Check it out —
